S-K, which was based in Chicago makes some Craftsman Professional hard line tools and is good USA made stuff. MATCO is based in Stow, Ohio and is owned by Danaher (which makes most all of Craftsman’s hard line, but some of the hard line are now being made in China)… We have been working hard with passion to make our brands indispensable and to give our customers the best products with the best Design, high Durability and Precision. I recently had to replace a couple of my Cornwell sockets, which when purchased somewhere around 2006-2007 are now made in Taiwan. At Snap-on tools, every one of us are inclined on satisfying our customers needs by giving them quality products, equipment and providing them with quality service and diagnostics.
Many of the screw drivers, sockets, and other hand tools rhese days are now made in Taiwan and other parts of the world. by the way, MAC is owned by Stanley they have shut down their Sabina, Ohio factory…… hence offshoring and their crappy second tier lines (Jesse James set…). This is a pretty cool video to watch about Cornwell tools and shows you how they make them!!… Makes you want to go buy some!! Their hard line (wrenches, sockets, ratchets, extensions, etc.) are still made in the USA up in Mogodore Ohio… Also, it is not a publicly traded company… It is still family owned.
